No 45 is a lovely, hospitable guesthouse/B&B in a quiet location on the edge of the village. A delicious breakfast with a wide choice of continental and cooked options is served in the light and airy conservatory looking out onto the gardens.
Set in an acre of grounds with a walled garden, Gordon and Penella have maintained the character and ambience of the original Victorian house. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, television and hair-dryers. The walled garden is a haven for wildlife – frequent visitors are red squirrels, whilst the wild garden attracts many insects and birds. We are set well back from the road with ample parking, so all the rooms are quiet and the front facing ones enjoy a view of Craigendarroch (the Hill of Oaks).
The entrance hall has its original pitch pine staircase overlooked by a Royal stag’s head from the Glenlivet estate. The welcoming lounges, complete with tartan carpet and Chesterfield sofas, are the ideal place to relax in front of the log fires.
