Our self catering accommodation is nestled in the foothills of Lochnagar in the Cairngorm National Park. Crofts Mill, the 18th century Mill has been sympathetically converted to provide charming, comfortable and well appointed accommodation including 2 double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and 1 twin bedroom. Cairn Leuchan is a warm spacious apartment within a detached steading building. It comprises a relaxed open living space with kitchen, dining and lounge areas downstairs and a bedroom with ensuite bathroom upstairs.
Crofts Mill is a tasteful modern conversion of an 18th Century Mill.
The conversion has managed to incorporate all the original features of the Mill without forming any new openings. The Mill is cut into the embankment of the Crofts Farm situated close to the junction of the Cairn Leuchan burn and River Muick. As recent as 1970 there was a weir across the River Muick which ran into a Lade which fed the Mill, remains of which are still visible. Three storeys high and with five separate floor levels the accommodation is deceptively spacious with large well proportioned rooms throughout.
Cairn Leuchan is a self contained apartment within a converted granite stone steading.
It is a warm spacious apartment within a detached steading building. It comprises a relaxed open living space with kitchen, dining and lounge areas downstairs and a bedroom with ensuite bathroom upstairs.
